Discover baby's endless potential in this class designed for lap babies, crawlers and new walkers with an adult caregiver. Learn how to stimulate your child’s learning through vocal play, object exploration, and creative movement. In the Cock-a-doodle-MOO! unit, it’s time to hop on the hayride and head to the farm! Families will sing songs including “Old MacDonald,” “Hayride,” and “Clever Cows.” They’ll engage in rituals and playful activities for baby and caregiver, including infant massage, lap bounces, exercise, and quiet time.
The Dew Drops unit invites you to stop and smell the rosesand lily of the valley, and tulips, and pansies! Families will play and move together to songs about flowers, and will also sing, dance and play to traditional Irish music. At Home Materials for each session allow you to continue the enrichment and bonding with baby at home and include a CD of the songs heard in class, a board book, an infant-safe instrument for music-making at home and art banners for the nursery wall that strengthen vision and promote early literacy.

| Our Time introduces your toddler, along with an adult caregiver, to a musical world filled with singing, imitating sounds, rhyming, sound identification, instrument exploration, and creative movement. Hop on the train, get in the car, board the plane, and Away We Go! This delightful, 15-lesson unit focuses on transportation, a favorite topic for toddlers who are on the go, go, go! Sing and play along with favorite songs, such as “I’ve Been Workin’ on the Railroad” and “Wheels on the Bus.” Explore fast and slow, smooth and bumpy, and high and low. Read stories about ways to get around. Shiny Dinah tells the story of a train, and Giddy-Up! has a horse, speedboat, racecar, and more to help you get where you want to go. Move, play, and sing together in developmentally appropriate activities created just for 1 1/2 to 3-year-olds. Designed to help your child improve confidence, self-control and communication skills, At Home Materials let you bring music class home, and include 2 CDs, a Home Activity Book, 2 storybooks (Shiny Dinah and Giddy-Up!), 2 harmonicas, and a train carrying box. |

They’ll engage in developmentally appropriate activities that the whole family can enjoy together, including finger plays, songs, circle dances, story time, and family jam. In their At Home Materials, families will receive two finger drums, one Sing, Play, & Grow home activity guide, two children’s storybooks (Drum Circle and Animals on Parade), a hand puppet and finger puppet of Rex (the lion member of Family Time’s Jellybean Band), and an instrument-matching board game. Get the family band together, and Make Way for Music! One adult may bring one or more children to each class. Preschoolers attend the first 45 minutes of class alone and then are joined by adult caregivers and siblings for the final 15 minutes of class sharing time. The Toys I Make, Trips I Take unit introduces the musical environment of a remarkable toy shop, filled with boats, trains, balls, jack-in-the-box and many other toys that bring a glimmer into a child’s eyes. Kindermusik for the Young Child continues the musical journey with a two-year sequential program for kindergarteners and elementary school students. Designed with a fun and pressure-free approach to learning, the classes include exposure to various types of multicultural music. Play remains the primary way a young child learns, so throughout the curriculum there is a consistent effort to balance active learning with the emotional reasoning aspects of a young child’s development in mind. Children explore vocal development, rhythm, notation, musical symbols, instrument families and famous composers. First year students learn how to play the glockenspiel, and second year students continue with the glockenspiel, as well as the two-string dulcimer and recorder. At Home Materials include a CD, songbook, instrument, carry bag and folder with weekly home activities to continue the learning outside of the classroom. Some instrument practice is required for successful completion of the class.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Indian Hill Music School reserves the right at any time to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment. We will make every effort to hold all classes offered. In the case of a cancellation, those effected will be notified as soon as possible and a full refund will be issued if another suitable class is not available.
