Parents and children play, learn, sing, dance, create, and share in the fun of making music together. Every one of
our activities—music, stories, and crafts—is specially designed to nurture every child's natural curiosity, eventually drawing each child toward learning new words, new concepts, and new big ideas. Home materials (included in tuition where noted) allow you to bring your class home to continue enrichment and bonding activities with your child.
Classes for children accompanied by an adult caregiver --
Creatures in My Backyard (Age 1.5 through 3 yrs.)

Children are naturally curious and delighted by the world around them. Creatures in My Backyard encourages you and your child to explore your environment and make new discoveries. Through music, movement, storytelling, and instrument exploration, your child will uncover the creatures living in her own backyard - from birds, turtles, squirrels, and rabbits to flowers, caterpillars, and bumble-bees! Your child will experience Nesting in a Tree, Digging in the Dirt, Flying to a Flower, Hiding in the Grass, and Sitting on the Porch. We will be the flower from the seed's perspective and run and jump in rain puddles made from hula hoops plus snack on whole wheat mini-waffles dipped in honey, just like a real honeycomb. So put on your sandals and join us for a backyard adventure! Home Materials (a $29 value included in the cost of tuition) include: Home CD, a ladybug shaker, a scarf and digital downloads.
Classes for children who attended class without an adult caregiver. Adults and siblings are invited in at the end of each class for a brief (10-15 minute) sharing time.
Tell Me a Tale (Age 4 to 7 yrs.)

Let’s take a trip around the world! Traditional folk tales from India, Africa, Germany, Malaysia, and the American Appalachians provide the basis for each day's explorations of songs, dances, music, and culture on a truly global scale. It's a summer session full of new discoveries. Let's dive on a turtle to the bottom of the ocean, play with the Bremen town musicians, or discover how a small deer can outwit a crocodile. A truly multi-arts camp, each day's lesson includes music, play, storytelling, crafts, and more, skillfully blended as only Kindermusik can, and designed just for the mind of your school-age child! Home Materials (a $29 value included in tuition) include: Tell Me a Tale literature book with all the stories read in class, CD of the unit's music, a set of lummi sticks, and daily craft materials.
A foot-stomping, hand-clapping, drum-playing class that teaches young children about the world of rhythm. Using percussion instruments, children will play games, sing and drum together, and communicate using rhythms and words. They will learn individual parts within a group ensemble and new techniques for each instrument. Rhythm Club will expand a student’s capacity for learning music and personal interaction.
Eurhythmics (Age 3.5 to 5 yrs.)

Eurhythmics teaches children the fundamentals of music through movement, singing, games and improvisation. By integrating their ideas, students become an active part of these dynamic and lively classes. These lessons support their social interaction and enhance ensemble skills, body and spatial awareness, coordination, balance, concentration, listening and imagination. Wonderful preparation for later instrumental study. NOTE: This class is for children without adult caregiver. Adults and siblings are invited in at the end of each class for 10-15 minutes of sharing time.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Indian Hill Music School reserves the right at any time to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment. We will make every effort to hold all classes offered. In the case of a cancellation, those effected will be notified as soon as possible and a full refund will be issued if another suitable class is not available.
