About the Festival: For students who are new to piano ensemble playing and who may not be ready for the more intense festival experience of SummerDayMusic, we offer SummerPianoWeek! This introductory ensemble program is the perfect way for young pianists to learn how to play with other musicians.

Students are placed into duos and trios to help them develop rhythmic, listening and expressive skills. Fun and easy pieces are carefully selected for each student to provide an enjoyable, educational experience that will inspire them for future musical collaborations. At the end of the week, the students get to show what they learned at an informal, low-stress performance followed by a pizza party for the performers and their families.
