As part of this commitment, we encourage students to participate in our enrichment activities, including many special themed recitals, workshops with guest pianists and Indian Hill faculty, Certification Juries, and the Summer Piano Festival. Heather Rogers Riley
Heather Rogers Riley
B.M. in Piano Performance, Walla Walla College; M.M. in Piano Performance, The Boston Conservatory; principal teachers include: Leonard Richter and Jonathan Bass.

Heather Riley is a dedicated teacher and active performer based in the Boston area.  She has over thirteen years of experience in piano instruction, performance coaching and adjudicating.  Mrs. Riley is Chair of the Piano Department at Indian Hill Music, and additionally runs a private teaching studio in Jamaica Plain. Before moving to Massachusetts in 2000, Mrs. Riley was the Assistant Director of the Piano Preparatory Division at Walla Walla College in Washington from 1998-2000.  While in the Northwest, she performed and competed extensively, and in 1999 she won the Oregon East Symphony Concerto Competition, performing Scriabin’s Concerto in F-sharp minor with the Oregon East Symphony.  Recently, Mrs. Riley appeared as a soloist with the Indian Hill Chamber Orchestra in Bach’s Double Concerto in C minor. Other performances include solo recitals in Boston and the North Shore area as well as ensemble appearances with the Soria Chamber Players and Indian Hill Music faculty.

James Barkovic
James Barkovic
M.M., New England Conservatory; B.A., St. Olaf College.

An experienced choral accompanist, Mr. Barkovic is presently affiliated with The Spectrum Singers and has served as accompanist for several Boston area choral groups. He is also director of music at Our Lady Help of Christians in Concord and music minister at West Concord Union Church.

Alisa Helene Bucchiere
Alisa Helene Bucchiere
B.M. cum laude, University of Lowell; M.M., Westminster Choir College; candidate for D.M.A. in music education, Boston University .

Prof. Bucchiere holds teaching positions at Northern Essex Community College since 2004, as both the Choral Director and professor of music history and music theory, and at Indian Hill Music in Littleton, MA where she has been on the piano faculty since September 1996. Currently, Prof. Bucchiere is a member of ACDA, the American Choral Directors Association, and is a member of the Merrimack Valley Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. She serves as organist at First Church Congregational in Methuen, MA. Presently, Prof. Bucchiere is the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival accompanist for Region One, which includes all of New England and parts of New York state. In her spare time, Prof. Bucchiere has performed as music director/accompanist for over forty theater shows.

Rebecca Carroll
Rebecca Carroll
B.S. in Music Education, Eastern Nazarene College. Principal teacher: Brady Millican

Rebecca teaches piano students of all ages with the objective of bringing out the joy of music, strengthening their creative abilities and promoting wellness. She has taught group piano classes, Kindermusik early childhood classes, directed choirs, coached voice and played bass viol in early music ensembles. Rebecca is also a songwriter who is composing and arranging a musical score for a dramatic musical play. She is the owner of a sound healing business which uses vibrations and healing music to promote wellness (more information at www.JammingWithTheAngels.com).

Christina Dietrich
Christina Dietrich
B.M., New England Conservatory; M.M., Boston University; D.M.A. candidate, Boston University. Principal teachers: A. Ramon Rivera,
Victor Rosenbaum, Veronica Jochum, and Anthony di Bonaventura.

Christina Dietrich began her piano studies at the age of three, made her first public performance at age five, and was a soloist with the NEC Orchestra at age nine. Early on in her career she appeared with the Indian Hill Symphony and has collaborated with such noted composers as Lucas Foss and Theodore Antoniou. She has performed on world-renowned stages like Jordan Hall and Symphony Hall in Boston, and Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York, as well as venues throughout Europe.

Ms. Dietrich’s musical line extends back to Beethoven and Salieri by way of her teachers, descendants of both Franz Liszt and Theodor Leschetitzky. A selected few can boast of having the honor and privilege of passing that legacy on to future generations – a mission she takes to heart as a teacher and performing artist. In addition to Indian Hill Music, Ms. Dietrich is an adjunct professor at Northern Essex Community College and Founder and Administrative Director of the Chopin Conservatory of Music on the North Shore. She has held faculty positions at the New England Conservatory of Music, Brookline Music School and North Shore Community College.

Joseph DiMarino
Joseph DiMarino
B.A., Trinity College, M.M., Eastman School of Music.

Mr. DiMarino joined the Indian Hill faculty in January 2006. Since then he has taught harpsichord, coached chamber music ensembles, and performed in numerous concerts with students, faculty, the Indian Hill Chamber Orchestra, and the Orchestra of Indian Hill. He received his M.M. from the Eastman School of Music where he studied organ, harpsichord and Baroque performance practice. He performs with the early music group Camerade, and was recently appointed organist/pianist of the Arlington Street Church in Boston.

Principal teachers: Steven Hesla, Dr. Faina Bryanskaya, Lisa Parker.
Ms. Ernst is a member of the Wachusett Chamber Players as well as a solo performer in the Northwest Boston area. She maintains a private studio in Lunenburg, MA.

Niva Fried
B.M.A Rubin Academy, Tel Aviv; M.M.and Doctoral studies, Boston University; additional studies at Hochschule fur Musik (Stuttgart) and New England Conservatory. Principal teachers: Leonard Shure, Maria Clodes, Gabriel Chodos.

Ms. Fried is the winner of several performance awards, including the Aaron Richmond and Harvard Music Association Distinction Awards. She is an active member of MMTA and the Chair of the Materials Committee at NEPTA. Her students are regular recipients of MNTA competition prizes.

Vladimir Gurin
Vladimir Gurin
M.M., St. Petersburg State Conservatory.

Mr. Gurin has taught music theory, harmony, ear training, conducting, music history and piano at the College of Arts in St. Petersburg and is on the faculty at Powers Music School, Groton School, and Boston Conservatory. He is the winner of the 1998 "Unleash the Sound" Competition in the U.S. and the 1988 All-Union TV Competition for Composers in Russia.

Pamela Hines
Pamela Hines
B.S., Boston University; B.A. in music ed., Old Dominion University; M.M. in jazz piano, New England Conservatory.

Jazz pianist Pamela Hines has been on many CDs since her debut CD with Bob Moses in 1998, 9-45. Her latest release on Spice Rack Records, Drop 2, has done well on US and Canadian radio stations. Hines was a guest on Jazz Piano with Marian McPartland in 2000 and since that time has been a live guest on several radio shows including KMOX, St. Louis with Don Wolff. She has recorded or performed with Jerry Bergonzi, John Lockwood, Brian Torff and Bob Guilotti.

Eric Kamen
Eric Kamen
B.M. and M.M. in piano performance, New England Conservatory of Music. Continuing studies at Longy School of Music in Dalcroze Eurhythmics. Post Graduate studies in jazz piano and theory with Jeff Covell and Charlie Banacos. Principal teachers: Irma Wolpe, Lois Shapiro, Leonard Shure.

Eric Kamen has been on the faculty of South Shore Conservatory, and as guest faculty pianist has performed in the Kodaly Music Institute Summer Program, New England Conservatory. He has performed in Jordan Hall, the Gardner Museum, Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute, Sanders Theater and WGBH-TV and has toured in Mexico City at the University of Mexico. In addition to maintaining a private teaching studio in Boston for the past thirty years, Eric has been Pianist and Associate Conductor with the PALS Children's Chorus since 2002, with performances at Tanglewood and the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Michelle Kelley
Michelle Kelley
B.M. with highest distinction, Northwestern University; M.M., New England Conservatory; continuing studies at Longy School of Music. Principal teachers: Sylvia Wang, Patricia Zander, Ludmilla Lifson.

Ms. Kelley joined the Indian Hill faculty in 2005, and has taught piano for over 15 years. She is an active performer, speaker and adjudicator in the Boston area. Recent appearances include: featured speaker at the Freeport Performing Arts Center in Freeport, ME; lecturer at the Groton Public Library in Groton, MA on "Music and the Brain"; two concerts and masterclasses at the University of Maine in Orono. She has been on the Board of Directors of the New England Piano Teachers Association, and has held a teaching assistantship at New England Conservatory. Ms. Kelley has two solo CD's - the first of Rachmaninoff, Copland and Ravel, and the second a live performance of Scriabin, Rachmaninoff, Hovhaness and Rochberg.

B.A., Gnesinsky State Music College; M.A., Moscow State Pedagogic University.

Ms. Krivoshlykova taught privately for 30 years in Russia, Germany and the U.S., and was a principal piano teacher at the Aleksandrov Music School in Moscow, a school for musically gifted and talented children. A faculty member at the Community Music School in Springfield, she also maintains a private studio in Shrewsbury.

Rachel Kuang
Rachel Kuang
M.M. in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Bowling Green State University); B.A. in Music Education from Anhui Normal University. Principal teachers: XiaoYu Jiao, Virginia Marks, Robert Satterrlee.

From 1999 to 2005, Ms. Kuang was a piano faculty at Westminster Conservatory, Westminster Choir College of Rider University (Princeton, NJ). Her students were regular recipients of Westminster and New Jersey Music Teacher Association competition prizes. From 1992 to 1996, Mrs. Kuang was an assistant piano professor at AnHui Institute of Education where she taught piano to college students in either piano or music education major. Ms. Kuang has served as the audition chairperson and recital coordinator for NJMTNA, adjudicator for piano guild auditions at Newton, Winchester and Belmont centers, and the chairperson for the National Guild of Piano Teachers at Boston Center. She has extensive performing experience as an accompanist and chamber musician.

Ms. LeBrun is adjunct Professor of Organ at UMass Lowell and is also Minister of Music at the Congregational Church of Littleton.

Tamara Medoyeva
Tamara Medoyeva
B.A., Kazakhstan State Music College; M.A., State Conservatory, Kazakhstan.

First Prize winner in the Piano Department Competition at the State Music College in Kazakhstan, Ms. Medoyeva was a piano accompanist at that school. She has over 20 years experience teaching all levels of piano as well as conducting workshops and masterclasses.

Paris National Conservatory of Music; Geneva Conservatory of Music; Curtis Institute of Music. Principal teachers: Rudolf Serkin, Mieczyslaw Horszowski, Rosina Lhevinne, and Dinu Lipatti.

Ms. Paul has enjoyed a distinguished performing career that includes appearances as a soloist and with orchestras in Europe and the United States. She is active as a soloist in the Greater Boston area.

B.M, Gnesin College of Music, Moscow; M.M., Gnesin Academy of Music.

Formerly on the faculties at Dunaevsky School of Music and Allegro Center for Music and Aesthetics in Moscow, Ms. Rashkovetsky is a founder and artistic director of the Russian-American Music Association (RAMA). An active soloist and chamber musician, she has recorded three CDs and recently performed in recital at the Grand Hall of Gnesin Academy in Moscow and at music festivals in France and Italy. Stephens College; studies with John Fesperman at New England Conservatory and Boston University.

Former accompanist for the Cambridge Chorale and organist at Swedenborg Chapel, Ms. Reed served as organist for the First Parish U. U. Church in Concord for ten years and was a soloist with their Festival Orchestra. She has performed in chamber music concerts at Boston's Old North Church, MIT Chapel, and at The Meeting House on the Common in Shirley Center.

A.B., Smith College; M.M., Yale University School of Music. Principal teachers: Earl Chamberlain, Vernon Gotwals, and Charles Krigbaum.

Past dean of the Merrimack Valley Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, Ms. Sears was chairperson of the Extant Organs Committee of the Organ Historical Society for 20 years and has performed in recitals throughout New England.

Monica Godoy Tessitore
Monica Godoy Tessitore
B.M., Hartt School of Music; M.M., New England Conservatory; D.M.A., Boston University. Principal teachers: Luiz de Moura Castro, Tong Il-Han, and Veronica Jochum.

Dr. Tessitore has appeared with several orchestras and ensembles including the Brasilia Symphony Orchestra, the Hartt Symphony Orchestra, and "Orchestra de L'Empodá" under the direction of Claudio Santoro, Charles Bruch and Wolfgang Groth. As a chamber musician she has participated in the Taos Chamber Music Festival and the International Music Festival of Brasilia, winning numerous accolades for her performances. She has also appeared in concert with distinguished ensembles and soloists such as The Emerson String Quartet, the Walden Chamber Players, and most recently in concert in Brazil with cellist Peter Stumpf, principal cellist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Dr. Tessitore's international appearances include performances in Italy, Spain, Brazil and South Korea.

Ms. Tang performs in solo recitals throughout the U.S. and Canada. Recent engagements include Jordan Hall and Berklee College of Music, Dartmouth College, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts; she was also a featured soloist with the Wellesley-Brandeis Orchestra. Ms. Tang is also on the faculty at Wellesley College and maintains a private studio in New York City.

B.A .in education, University of Massachusetts-North Dartmouth; M.A.in piano pedagogy, Lesley College; further studies at New England Conservatory and the Longy School. Principal teachers: Jean Stackhouse, Angel Rivera, Alys Terrien-Queen, and Anne Francoise-Perrault.

Linda Vieira has been teaching piano students of all ages for over 25 years and enjoys working with beginners as well as more advanced students. She feels a student's first teacher is extremely important to spark a love of music and get them off to a great start.

Ms. Vieira is a patient and supportive teacher. Her teaching style includes a variety of approaches depending on a student's learning style. Lessons are tailored to meet the needs and interest of the student. Classical music provides the foundation for lessons and can be supplemented by a mix of popular, folk and jazzy music. Lessons at all levels include music reading, theory, technique, eartraining and most importantly, how to make practice effective and enjoyable.
Ms. Vieira has been on the faculty since 1993 and assists the school manager in placing piano students with the appropriate teacher. In addition, she started the group piano program and has taught Kindermusik classes at Indian Hill Music. She studied at New England Conservatory, Longy School of Music and holds a M. M. in piano pedagogy from Lesley University and a B. A. in education and psychology from University of Massachusetts. She has performed in recitals in the Boston area as well as other venues in New England. An active member of NEPTA (New England Piano Teachers Association), she is on the board of this organization.
