Student Internships:
Outstanding professional educational experience and training in the areas of
advertising, public relations, marketing and fundraising in a non-profit arts environment. Interns are individually supervised by department staff and involved in day-to-day operations, plus assigned clerical and administrative tasks, such as information market research, filing, database management, and material distribution. Intern special projects may include writing press releases, planning and coordination of special events, developing material for the web site, creating promotional offers, and proofreading. Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, page layout tools preferred.

Summer Festival Interns: College-age interns needed for the Music School's annual festivals: SummerDayMusic and SummerDayMusicalTheater. Up to 3 interns are needed for each festival.
These are paid positions for an average of 30 hours per week.
SummerDayMusic is a two week festival (July 22-Aug 2) for instrumental and vocal students ages 8 to 18. SummerDayMusicalTheater is a four week festival (June 24-July 21) for ages 8 to 18. Interns assist faculty and professional staff, and supervise students. Ideal candidates should have completed at least one year of college, working toward a degree in a relevant field (music or theater), and have some experience working with children. Preference is given to former IHM students.
