Saturday, September 10, from 10am – 4pm, drop in for a free day of music, fun, and learning at Indian Hill Music School, 36 King Street, Littleton, with free classes and activities for all ages, an instrument petting zoo, live music by Indian Hill faculty, and free ice cream courtesy of Cherry Hill Ice Cream, Lunenburg and Townsend. Celebrate the new early childhood program with a “Music for Aardvarks” kickoff party at 10am, with teacher Joey Pierog and special guest, program creator David Weinstone. “French Connections,” a program of four works by French composers spanning more than two centuries presented Sunday, January 24, by the Orchestra of Indian Hill and conductor Bruce Hangen, marked the welcome return of violinist Irina Muresanu to the Littleton High School Performing Arts Center.
Indian Hill Faculty members will present Sublime & Prolific: The Brilliance of Bach and Mendelssohn, on Friday, November 6 at 7:00 pm. The concert will feature the talents of Susan Bonito, soprano; Jenny Tang, piano; Alexander Vavilov, viola; Angel Hernandez, violin; and Caroline Reiner-Williams, cello. The players will perform selections from both composers in a variety of instrumental and vocal combinations, including arias and songs from Bach’s Cantata No. 58 and Mendelssohn’s Neue Liebe, Op. 19; Bach’s Suite No. 1 in G Major for solo violin; and Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No. 2, Op. 66.
