New Horizons Concert Band

Every person has musical potential!

Explore yours in a relaxed and social environment in our new concert band for adult beginners and recreational players. Pick up a new instrument or dust off that trumpet from your school days! This enriching experience provides opportunities for learning, enjoyment, creativity, challenge, and community.


Instruments include:

Woodwinds: Clarinet, Flute, Saxophone
Brass: Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, French Horn, Euphonium
Percussion: Drum Set, Hand Percussion, Marimba/Xylophone

Day Schedule Start Date Tuition
Tuesday 7:00-8:30 pm September 18, 2018 $400

Rehearsals: Tuesdays 7:00-8:30 pm, September thru May, starting September 18, 2018.

TUITION: $400 (Full Year - 30 sessions) plus $15 for method book
PRORATED FEE: If you start after the first day of class, tuition is based on $13.50/session for number of sessions remaining. $100 deposit due with registration and you will be invoiced for the balance.

Scholarships are available for all Music School programs.

B. M., Music Education and Clarinet Performance, Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University; M.M., Clarinet Performance, UMass Lowell

Andrea Mejia has taught band at the beginner level through high school for more than 15 years and serves as the K-12 Visual and Performing Arts Curriculum Coordinator for the Westford Public Schools. She has adjudicated for Festivals at both the Junior and Senior level, and has maintained a private studio teaching clarinet in addition to performing as an orchestral and chamber clarinetist.
